I have a Toshiba Tecra M5 laptop that I've put Linux on.

It has two buttons that aren't part of the keyboard, one has an "i" on it
and the other one is labelled to indicate that it can switch between the
internal and external display. In Windows the "i" key brought up some help,
and the other key worked as advertised. You did need to install a Toshiba
package to make them work. These buttons aren't working in Ubuntu Desktop
10.10 32bit. Is there a package I need to install? Or is there a mapping
file somewhere I need to edit to attach an action to these buttons?

Interestingly the Fn-Option key combinations on the keyboard work.

For instance hitting "Fn-F2" hibernates, and "Fn-F7" or "Fn-F8" brightens
and dims the screen.

It is just the two separate feature buttons that don't work.

Craig.
