I am using volatile for a very long time (I think since it exists) and never had this kind of problem. I am using dselect to update/upgrade and it may differ from apt-get and/or aptitude. However I think since I have clamav installed and it depends on latest version of libclamav, new versions of libclamav were installed without explicit intervention. I know about only one kind of problem with this - when package direcly uses libclamav which conflict with new version because of incompatible virus DB. Package maintainers were angry at clamav team because of this. I only use clamav-milter (and explicitly call clamd from it) so I didn't have this prolem. Maybe you should discuss problems with clamav on debian in debian's mailing lists. -- Matus UHLAR - fantomas, [EMAIL PROTECTED] ; http://www.fantomas.sk/ Warning: I wish NOT to receive e-mail advertising to this address.
