Actually, the problem IS related to a restart (which we do because 
mimedefang occasionally gets into a bad state). The first restart that 
failed was at 20:00 CT Sep 18. Since no one else here seems to have had 
a problem with the clamav sigs it might just be the 20:00 update of the 
sanesecurity sigs that caused the problem - we've only started using 
sanesecurity a few weeks ago.
