For protein-DNA complexes, we generally found that the ends of the DNA duplex are the most important variable because DNA bases love to stack and usually form crystal-packing contacts. Instead of more screening kits (say, one fairly low salt PEG-ion screen kit should do) buy lots of oligos that you can mix-n-match to get blunt, 1nt and 2nt overhangs (which often base pair with one another in the crystal). Hold your nose and throw in cheap desalted-only oligos, and if you see microcrystals, then see if fancy expensive purification improves them.
