Two comments on your experience, Rob:

1) I believe Marko has stated before at you can contact ProctorLabs
support to start a session after the designated start time, but then
you'll get less than your 8 hours (slot still ends at the same time).

2) Regarding voucher expiration, I was told when I purchased the BLS
that vouchers could be extended by the sales team. Indeed, most of
mine were set to expire last month and I contacted a sales rep and
asked for an extension. They were extended for another year.

However, I also find the PL time blocks to be inconvenient (and hard
to schedule when I want them, they always seem all booked), so I built
a home lab using 3560/3550 switches, a Dynamips/IOU server, and 3
1841s to act as R1, R7, and R8 (as they don't need frame connectivity
to the other devices). This hybrid lab gives me just about everything
I need and with smart eBay shopping and some ingenuity I put the whole
thing together for about US$2500 (including a 3750 breakout switch, a
small server, rack, power control, console server, etc).
