I think you guys are all over thinking this one.  If it's really INTRA VLAN
multicast as described in the OP (and not INTER as the subject suggests)
then all this IGMP and multicast routing talk is moot.  If the original
question is does multicast flow over a trunk by default, then the answer is
most certainly "yes".  If it wasn't then we wouldn't be able to bring up an
OSPF or EIGRP adjacency in a good number of IPexpert labs.  All of the
routers are interconnectged via switches, and a lot are using subinterfaces.

I like that SFP thing though.  That's a weird one I'll have to remember for
the future.
