Update of bug #66919 (group groff): Summary: [troff] .hcode sometimes fails to accept a special character as a first argument => [troff] behavior change in some .hcode calls when a special character is the first argument
_______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comment #12: [comment #11 comment #11:] > When instrumenting `hcode` with the debugging statement > shown previously, I see "ps.tmac" and "en.tmac" getting busy. Fair point. I discounted en.tmac because it's a relatively recent addition, so it can't be affecting all the older releases, and I verified that it doesn't touch õ's hyphenation code in its current incarnation. Looking now at ps.tmac past and present, its .hcodes also seem to not touch õ. > My objection is pretty much the haste with which you reached a > diagnosis, which I think may have led me to undertake invalid > experiments. Fair objection. I've updated the Summary again to hopefully more accurately reflect the situation. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?66919> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
