Hello,

since I am new here, I hope a few words of introduction are in order. My
name is Felix Grützmacher and I work as software developer for Handy Tech
and have been with Handy Tech since 2008. I hope to be able to contribute to
BRLTTY, with an emphasis on improving its support for our devices.

For testing purposes, and to familiarize myself with BRLTTY, I tried to get
BRLTTY for Windows up and running with a Handy Tech Active Braille.
Unfortunately, the device was never detected in all my attempts. The
installer I used was:

http://brl.thefreecat.org/brltty/brltty-win-5.1-1.exe

I installed this under Win 7 64 bit. In one scenario I chose Handy Tech
device in the configurator, and in the other scenario I chose to
auto-detect, but in both cases Braille input was not generated and actually
the device was never communicated with from a protocol viewpoint.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Kind regards from Horb, Germany,

Felix Grützmacher

Mit freundlichen Grüßen/Best regards
