If you have a 64-bit Windows then you'll need libusb-1.0, and if you have a 32-bit Windows then you can use either. libusb is the older version that's no longer being developed, and libusb-1.0 is the newer version. libusb, even though it's old, does have one advantage - it has a USB filter driver. By the way: For older brltty releases, the ones that don't specify the USB interface are libusb. That, of course, is because, way back when libusb-1.0 didn't exist, there was no need for us to specify the difference.
