It isn't detected >however. Yes, actually, it is as you can see above. When the log shows that it's testing a device, that's telling you that that's what it's about to do. The fact that it then starts to actually do things with the device means that it's recognized the vendor/product ID pair. Since this isn't a complete log, I can't tell a few things. In particular, what I'd like to know is if you've explicitly specified the ht driver or if you're having it autodetect.
