I still see it as a bug yes, why should I have to manually create a 
directory required by the internals of package? Once I've created the 
/var/run/bacula directory how about I create it's required etc/, var/ 
and sbin/ directories too?

The previous package was from the debian stable tree. I took a backup of 
the system, purged the old version and then compiled from source.
