I hit this problem for laptops and for desktop Windows machines which hibernate to save power, and so are not running when you might expect to suck out their goodness overnight. My solution is a little script which runs on the server running the director which checks every half hour to see if these machines are up and running and connected, and if so, and if that machine hasn't been backed up for at least a day, starts a backup job. If that sounds interesting, and if no one else comes up with a better solution, I'll clean the script up and post it to the list. -- Mail me as [EMAIL PROTECTED] _O_ |< ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
