My feelings on using rsync to double buffer the backups aside, this is mainly windows files so the only reason to restore is in the case of a total server loss, in which case getting replacement hardware takes longer than driving over to the data centre and retrieving a copy of the data. Scheduled VSS snapshots solve the "oh crap my file broke" type restores without ever involving bacula. James ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable. Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes sense of it. IT sense. And common sense. http://p.sf.net/sfu/splunk-d2d-c2 _______________________________________________ Bacula-devel mailing list Bacula-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-devel
