Hi, I probably should have said that I had read it, but I don't understand exactly what they are referring to and how exactly it should be integrated into real life. Instead, I cut it short by saying that I hadn't read it. Since I worked in childcare until 2025 Dec 31 in the EU (Germany), I am very familiar with the situation here. The providers train their employees continuously, and employees sign some kind of new document and refresher training on such topics more or less every six months. I have the opportunity to live off my savings and don't have to do a meaningless job, so I quit and will only work for institutions that are interested in the well-being of children and not in nonsensical theory. I am very much in favor of protecting the welfare of children, as well as data protection and freedom. All measures taken to date concerning child protection in the EU, which have arisen from the challenges of the computer age, have completely failed to achieve their objectives. In the event that there is no California in the EU, I will not comment further on Californian matters. As far as planned EU measures are concerned, I would like to see contact being made with those who work at the grassroots level with children and parents or guardians. > [1] https://github.com/flatpak/xdg-desktop-portal/pull/1922 > [2] https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/40954 > [3] > https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2025/04/age-verification-european-union-mini-id-wallet This reads like satire for anyone who works with children and guardians.
