Hi Jürgen,
'alsactl store' is the right thing to do, but you need to run 'alsactl
restore' sometime after a reboot to restore the stored settings. You can
put this in rc.local or whatever is appropriate for your system.
Also, by default, alsactl tries writing to /etc, so you need to be root or
use sudo if you choose to just run 'alsactl store'.
