Hi Thomas, i updated cmipci driver on cvs. possibly the bug is fixed there. you'll need to turn on "IEC958 Out To DAC" together with "IEC958 Output Switch".
please note that some big changes for alsa structure has been done on the current cvs version. the driver codes are included in alsa-kernel while alsa-driver includes the other necessary files to build modules externally. and, the module names are changed as Jaroslav had announced; snd-card-xxx became snd-xxx (e.g. snd-card-cmipci becamse snd-cmipci).
