'Scuse me, we have precedent that Spanish and *Unicode characters
completely unrelated to English except that when you view them upside
down they look similar to letters in the latin alphabet* both work.
I'm kind of thinking that strongly suggests Base-64 would; you don't
even need to strain your neck.
