Exactly the problem. Back in the "old days" I was forced to write contests with a ridiculous amount of legal disclaimer, e.g. a whole page of "If with support is written in this contract it works as in the rules except only members may support. IF with objection... If currencies..." ad infinitum. I was really, really hoping that folks would see equity for what it was intended, a common sense way to fork contests without worrying about that crap, but still allowing connection to Agora by awarding a few points or whatever to encourage participation. Obviously I was mistaken. This culture difference is why, for example, FRC forked from Nomic World rather than staying a part of it. In any case, my personal disgust and stepping *slightly* back at the moment isn't over one particular decision (e.g. this one) or about whether the repeal of equity passes... as I said, sometimes when I get annoyed enough at someone's constant stream of annoyances around here, I start to attack everything the person says rather than evaluating the arguments, I like Agora too much to degenerate into Kelly/Steve battles instead of stepping back, even if it means the other party "wins" for a time. (Ironically first time I stepped back it was because I was really annoyed with Steve). Goethe
