No. The University I'm at has a rather strange rule that we have to use our 
official University accounts for everything; as far as I know, nobody but me 
obeys it. I think that the original reason was to ensure that all the students 
check their official accounts so 
as to receive messages like library overdue things, and internal spam, of 
course. It's a pity, really; if the rule were actually enforced, it might 
persuade them to get a better email system...

(Ironically, Outlook Web Access runs better on Firefox than it does on IE. I 
think the reason for this is that it falls back to less buggy code when it 
doesn't detect IE's feature set.)
