I looked back at old Points Contest rules while drafting this. Before, we basically limited scams by saying basing points awards on # of players, and making incremental awards small enough that a pure "I award points to you" scam just got you 5% of the way to a win per week, so creeping and boring. The main problem now is the multiplication through partnerships/second-class persons...it should be prevented while allowing for the possibility of a "team" joining or running a legitimate game. -Goethe
