I have know women pilots from two camps: 1. True pilot, mind of a pilot, probably more qualified and capable than her male peers. Some of the best out there. 2. The woman that became a pilot because someone wanted her to get her license.
a. Most of these do no go on to careers. b. Many of them do not stay current. c. I suspect they don’t have the best decision making or troubleshooting skills in a pinch. d. Some get rattled when things go sideways. Not sure if the above applies to guys or not. It is just that I have personally known both types of women pilots. I would not want to face the first in a dogfight.
