Model 3 and Y reliability is very good. Build quality on exterior varies.
Some cars are perfect and others have some issues if you look close. I can
also go to the lot of any other car brand and find similar issues. The
exception may be Toyota which seems to have very high build quality. I
never had any functional issues with my model 3 that prevented me from
driving it. There were some paint issues that they corrected. Any warranty
issue I had was covered just fine. Tesla is 8-10 years ahead of other EV
vehicles in terms of reliability and technical capabilites.

Chuck, I'm not sure which model 3 you ordered but the single motor RWD
starts at $47k with 272 miles of range. The dual motor long range is $56k
with 358 miles of range. This is with the recent price increase they had a
few weeks ago. If you ordered before that, your price is probably 3500
less.
