we did a try and buy of the 2510,2530 and 2540.

Yeah the sff-8088 connectors are a bit rigid and clumsy, but the  
performance was better than everything we tested in the 2500 series.

Echo.  We like the 2540 as well, and will be buying lots of them  
shortly.
