The default installation directory is on a 64-bit Windows:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\XMLmind_XML_Editor"
and on a 32-bit Windows:
"C:\Program Files\XMLmind_XML_Editor"

during your previous installation and InnoSetup considered this as
being the directory you prefer?
Yes, I think that I did. I do not recall the XXE 8.0.0 installer asking
me about where I wanted XXE to go this time. I will keep a look out for
what happens when I install XXE 8.1.0.
You probably installed XXE v8 without first uninstalling XXE v7, which
is OK.
We'll try to find a way to make InnoSetup always prompt the user for an
installation directory (rather than automatically reuse previous
installation directory).
