Thanks for the tip; I'll take a look at Illustrator and see whether it offers an 'embed' option. I have tried Inkscape at home, but find the interface frustratingly different from Illustrator and can't transfer my skills ...
btw, I notice you visibly contributed to the crowd-funding for the updated ePub reader for Firefox; thank-you! my contribution was too small to deserve a mention :-} it's a good cause, though. Yes, that's right. XMLmind XML Editor cannot process SVG graphics (e.g. your xenEMV_pcTools_testSetup.svg) referencing external image files (e.g. your merchantUnit.jpg). This limitation is hard to remove. > > > I can see the logic behind it, but wonder whether there's an easy > workaround; if not, I'll use .png instead of .svg and accept the > slight loss in quality. > Yes, there is a relatively easy workaround. May be Illustrator has an option to create an SVG file *embedding* (rather than linking) the external images referenced by the vector graphics. Free, open source Inkscape has one. https://inkscape.org/en/ See menu item "Extensions > Images > Embed Images". You could open your SVG in Inkscape, select this menu item and then save back your SVG to disk. ********************************************************************************************* Worldline SA/NV - Chaussee de Haecht 1442 Haachtsesteenweg - 1130 Brussels - Belgium RPM-RPR Bruxelles-Brussel - TVA-BTW BE 0418.547.872 Bankrekening-Compte Bancaire-Bank Account 310-0269424-44 BIC BBRUBEBB - IBAN BE55 3100 2694 2444 "The information contained in this e-mail and any attachment there to be confidential and may contain information which is protected by intellectual property rights.
