  I did some further investigation. Firstly, I restarted the
application. Once I did that, it appears that your profiles are
working. However, when I check the attributes, they are listed

that I can then assign a "Value" to, where yours appears to be a class.
Have I installed something incorrectly?

I'm sorry but I don't understand.

What follows is an excerpt of the Test.xml sent you:
---
  <section revision="Revision">
    <title>Has <tag class="attribute">revision</tag> attribute=<tag
    class="attvalue">Revision</tag></title>

<para>Has <tag class="attribute">revision</tag> attribute=Revision.</para>
  </section>
---

<tag class="attribute"> is not related to your problem. Replace it by <literal> if you prefer.

What counts here is <section revision="Revision">. Normal revision attribute; normal way to specify its value.
