I'm sorry but I don't know what you mean by "Tracking changes the way
I'm used to", therefore I'm afraid my answers will not really help you.
thanks to excellent support, I now know how to:
·flag new/deleted content in the output .pdf, using a .ditaval file
This is a standard feature of DITAVAL. See
http://docs.oasis-open.org/dita/v1.2/os/spec/archSpec/condproc.html#condproc
Simply create a DITAVAL file and associate it to your DITA map using
"Map|Bookmap -> Conditional Processing Profile". See
http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/dita/help-2.html#map_menu
You'll find an example of such DITAVAL file in "Flagging contents"
http://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/_distrib/doc/manual/limitations.html#limitations__flagging_contents
·highlight new/deleted content while writing in XXE, using a Conditional
Processing Profile
Sorry but there is no way to do this using XXE.
So, since I naturally and always want more … I have to ask whether
there's some deft way of combining the two (input-time/output-time
highlighting) with either one of the methods :-} Just out of curiosity,
you understand.
