And as far as I know, it leaves them not only in place but also 
undamaged. For instance, once a guy threw a bazooka shot at the feet of 
one of my characters (like a few pixels in front of his feet) and the 
character was right inside the explosion, but remained totally 
undamaged. It seems like characters are only affected by the weapon's 
shot itself, and not by the resulting explosion. I agree with this 
report, gameplay would IMO be much better with this fixed.
