The always claim to be on the "simple" side, but hey no it's not good to just have a directory on a CD ROM copy it over and just run it. No it has to do the following 1) add a bazzillion entries to the registry 2) just have to replace just a few system DLLs 3) just have to write few dozens .inf files 4) just write a few hundred Custom actions but frown upon them a year or so later 5) etc. I'm sorry, but this really gets on my nerves. but has nothing to do with wix of course.
