Currently firmware is still in sys/ but will be removed soon-ish.
That explains.
#fwget
Needed firmware packages: 'gpu-firmware-intel-kmod-geminilake wifi-
firmware-iwlwifi-kmod-9000'
pkg: No packages available to install matching 'wifi-firmware-
iwlwifi-kmod-9000' have been found in the repositories
Why is that? Which version of FreeBSD are you on?
14.2, but I build my packages (with Poudriere).
However, after building net/wifi-firmware-iwlwifi-kmod, it still says it
can't be found.
In ports I see net/wifi-firmware-iwlwifi-kmod, but it seems it's not
the same thing.
It is; the -9000 at the end is a flavour as you only need the firmware
bits for these chipsets but not for all the possible cards.
OK.
So I build this specific flavour and now fwget seems to be happier.
I'm not sure this is how it should be expected to work, though.
bye & Thanks
