Hi everybody!
I just wanted to tell you that the start of the 1.8 series is rather close. That
is I announced that the string and feature freeze will start "soon" (current
plan: next Sunday). Most textdomains should already be ready to work on as I
stated in my previous mails and as it is listed on the textdomain status page in
the wiki [1].
The string and feature freeze will last for at least four weeks. It might even
last six weeks (somehow I expect this) but I won't guarantee for it. So from now
on you should have at least 5 weeks to finish and polish the wesnoth
translations.
Some time before 1.8 we will also provide a translatable release announcement
text. I will inform you once it is ready and I'd say that you should concentrate
on the translation of the wesnoth textdomains before working on the
announcement. Once I tag 1.8 you still have about a week before I announce the
new stable release. In this week you should have enough time to translate the
announcement.

Just to make it more clear:
If you have not switched over to trunk yet, *now* is the time to do so! There is
quite some work waiting to be done as you can see in the latest stats [2].
Cheers,
Nils Kneuper aka Ivanovic
