I have not been involved in the Apache Wave project to-date, so all I can add is this: My company (Fogbeam Labs) see some application for Wave tech in some of the things we are working on, and hope to reach a point where we can contribute to Wave in the future. With that in mind, I think we'd be somewhat more in favor of participating in an ASF project.
Unfortunately things are too "up in the air" here for us to promise any particular commitment of resources or anything, at the moment, so take this for what it's worth.
