That's one I have never seen from VNC; there may be a corrupt file or another process on your system may be causing it.
WOW is the abbreviation for "Windows on Windows" which is the way that Microsoft enabled old 16-bit Windows software to run on NT; a VDM is a "Virtual DOS Machine" which the WOW session usually runs on top of. Since VNC is 32-bit on Microsoft Windows, this shouldn't happen at all! I would suggest uninstalling the WinVNC server, making sure the files are gone (usually in "C:\Program Files\ORL\VNC") and then reinstalling it as a starting point; that should only take a few minutes to do. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ellen Reisinger" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, 2002-04-02 01:02 Subject: "Hidden Console WOW VDM" > Hi, > > Has anyone ever heard of an error with VNC that would crash > an NT server and bring up a message like: > "hidden console WOW VDM ..." > > > ********************** > Ellen Reisinger > IT Officer > Sanderson High School > Matthews Rd.
