Dave,

Don't know if this is a related issue to a similar one I have seen with both
VNC & Hummingbird eXceed but assuming the vnc server is on a Sun or similar
and your client is on a PC then the Sun may be using sun specific fonts not
available on the PC and therefore when the server sends info on which kind
of font to use then the PC cannot match it properly and gives you garbage.

Whether or not you can import the server fonts onto your PC is a dicey
matter as fonts tend to be 'owned' and you are not supposed to install them
without having paid the appropriate blood money etc.

Subject: Fonts Problems

Hi their, i am curious to know, if anyone knows why my VNC doesnt'd display
some fonts, i get blocks instead of text, an example is AIM the AOL release,
i can see the persons screen name and time stamp, but any message after is a
bunch of blocks. this also occures with some themes i have for GTK. Is their
a solution? Thanks for your time.
