Looking at http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/sshwin.html, can Bob and Charlie be the same machine? Suppose Alice opened an ssh connection to Bob with Alice:5954 forwarded to Bob:5904. Once Alice has a shell prompt, I run 'vncserver :4 -localhost'. Now Bob has a vncserver session at port 5904. I set up my system like above, but from Ailce am unable to open vncviewer to localhost:54. As expected, Alice is also unable to op en vncviewer to Bob:4. If I don't use -localhost, Alice is able to open vncviewer to localhost:54 (over ssh) and Bob:4 (in the clear!). The latter is undesirable! How do I strictly require vnc over ssh on Bob? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the line: 'unsubscribe vnc-list' in the message BODY See also: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------
