Bruno - could you post the registry key you changed, just as a double-check?
Here's what I see checking the documentation - which I think you already did. RemoveWallpaper Indicates whether or not WinVNC should remove the user's background wallpaper when an incoming connection is made. It is necessary to reconnect in order for this setting to take effect. Local or Global per-user setting The 2 keys then are: Local per-user HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ORL\WinVNC3\<username> Global per-user HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ORL\WinVNC3 Global are only read if AllowProperties , which is Local per-user, is NOT set to 0. So you should have no problem with setting this in Global, then turning off the Local per-user. ----- Original Message ----- From: "DELORME, BRUNO" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday/2002 February 04 16:50 Subject: Re: Remove Wallpaper : Hi, : it appears to be a Windows NT Policy or Object Permission, : because on fresh install of Windows NT 4 (SP6), it run correctly. : : I need to know which resources are used to eleminate the Background. : : Thank you : : Bruno : : "DELORME, BRUNO" wrote: : : > Hi, : > I'm using Windows NT 4.0 and I try to enabled the advanced option: "Remove Wallpaper", : > without success.
