Thanks for all the good suggestions re. firewalls and browsers to access the vnc servers. It works phenomenally. I found MS IE was able to get a bigger screen in fullscreen mode (F11) than netscape, and it also transmits the middle mouse button properly. It doesn't transmit the ALT key when it's used simultaneously with the mouse buttons, and also rings the bell whenever the ALT key is used with a keyboard key (something used alot by netscape on the solaris server side). Also used alot by some CAD tools. It would also be nice to get rid of the toolbar at the top of MSIE (even autohide is annoying if you bump against the top), but it's worth the trouble sometimes just for the speed, depending on what one doing.
