After you connect to the machine can you ping it, or access an open share?

Subject: Need WinVNC help in Berkeley, California

Hello...

I am trying to install and use WinVNC on two PCs running Windows 98. I'm
afraid I'm in over my head. I simply can't get it to work.

If there is anyone reading this who happens to be in Berkeley (or nearby)
and
would be willing to spend a few minutes on the phone helping me walk-through
the setup, I'd be most grateful.

Otherwise, is there any documentation that shows a step-by-step setup for
the
Windows Server and Windows Viewer. I am trying to connect using modems and
dialup on both machines.

Thanks for any help!

Best regards,

John.
