I would be willing to assist (on the Windows end). I haven't had a need
to use VNC on *nix machines to this point. X or SSH or telnet has
sufficed for me. But, it's invaluable to me for Windows. For a sample
of my VNC docs, you can see http://mike.erdelynet.com/sshvnc.asp. I can
work on some docs for using VNC with Win9x and WinNT for JoeUser (ie -
my wife or my in-laws).

Please go ahead Thomas! But I'm afraid that despite your writing skills,
you will be disappointed by the lack of effort your average reader will
be willing to put into it him/herself. Off course you can only admire
the limitless patience that some people exercise when they ask questions
to lists, that they can look up in docs themselves in 3 minutes or less.

Anyway, it may be a good idea to invite people to translate your doc in
other languages. I suspect english is a big hurdle for a considerable
group of users. I can offer to translate it to dutch. (Dutch is spoken
in the Netherlands, and should not be confused with german. It is a
rather limited language as far as expressing bypassing firewalls is
concerned. I can think only of "to sail around a firewall". Off course
we are a seafaring nation.).
