I use VNC to connect to several NT 4 servers via various Windows clients
and have never been able to copy from the server to the client. From the
client to the server has never been a problem. I just had a thought
while signing up for the list that it might be something to do with
running VNC as a service as opposed to an application which might have
access to the clipboard. I will have to investigate this but thought I'd
throw it out the until I have the chance to test.
Second item is a problem I've been having only at home connecting to my
local server. When I connect to my home server from work I don't get
this problem. The problem has to do with graphics or pictures. They are
garbled or blocky and not rendered properly. Say an application with an
image of the author on one page. The app window will be fine but the
image is garbled. When I move the mouse over it it flutters some but
stays garbled. Kind of like pushing sand around. Anyone know what's
going on here? The server is NT 4 and the client is Win98SE and it's
been happening for at least a couple of VNC versions.
Thanx,
David
