I have 2 windows 98 systems (One Laptop and One Desktop PC). If I use VNC
Viewer when connected on LAN or use a Dial-up connection (when network card is
disabled), I can access the VNC server. But if I use Dial-up connection (while
network card is active
& enabled) and try to access VNC Server - I get message " Failed to connect to
server". At this point, I can make a connection ONLY if I disable network
card. Which I keep doing in my laptop (because it is easy to do so), but on a
desktop PC it is not
simple to disable network card everytime. Is there a solution for this - WHERE
VNC SERVER CAN BE ACCESSED USING DIAL-UP CONNECTION EVEN WHILE NETWORK CARD IS
ACTIVE. I tried both VNC Viewer and HTTP over browser - both failed. I use VNC
Viewer3.3.3R2 and
VNC Server on Redhat Linux2.0. Not sure of the version of VNC Server, but file
size is 11939bytes on Linux. Tried with other versions (priort to 3.3.3R2) of
VNC Viewers also.
Thanks,
Kiran
