Another small change which many should appreciate, is the delay during
quitting has been shortened from 5 seconds to 0.5 second per physical
display. It appears that having *some* delay (while allowing threading) is
enough to avoid the crash-on-quit problem, even on relatively old machines.
Blame the co-operative nature of MacOS multitasking and multithreading...
