I have used Microsoft products since about 1998 other the Windows and have known them to push out products and update them within days for bugs. It happens to everyone. Of course we want thins perfect, but based on all the updates I see, some add new features but if you look closely most of them also fix bugs.
-----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Christopher J Chaltain Sent: Thursday, September 25, 2014 7:31 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: iOS 8.0.1 is out Of course, as a user of Microsoft products, I'd be concerned if Microsoft were pushing updates to it's products by mistake. It's one thing to have a company make a conscious decision to ship a product with some known warts in it and another thing for a company to push out some software accidentally. It would be hard to trust or rely on a company when you can't depend on them following their own internal processes to get the right product out the door. Hopefully, Microsoft has fixed those process problems in the last seven years. I'm not saying it can't happen, but having seen all of the steps a software release has to go through to get out of the door at more than one large company, I just can't believe this happens as frequently as you seem to indicate it does. The press is always looking for such stories, so I'd think we'd all hear about these cases if they were more frequent, and if anything, we'd probably think they happened even more than they do, given how the press likes to hype these kinds of mistakes.
