I then did my usual precautions which means closing all apps from the app switcher, making sure all my apps were updated, then transferring purchases to iTunes, syncing with iTunes and doing an encrypted backup. Lastly I did a Reset All Network settings and when my phone rebooted (maybe 5 or so minutes after I checked for the update the first time, I checked again and now it says my software is up to date. I guess I just missed it, maybe for the better! You can no longer get it; I imagine it will be re-released soon with a fix for the problems on the iPhone6.
