I beg to differ. You can use Audible just fine. If you sync audio books to your device via iTunes and select the "iTunes" tab at the top of the screen it will show these books and you can listen to them. Your choices are 0.75x, 1x, 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x, 2.5x and 3x. You can also play MP3 files/books in the Downcast app and it also has speed control.
