Hi Hoping someone can guide me... My carrier is PureTalk, which runs on the AT&T network. I have the opportunity to buy an old iPhone 8 for my pre-teen son at a nicely low price. I called my carrier with the IMEI number and was told it's a phone locked by AT&T, so the rep said it wouldn't work. Does this mean that putting a PureTalk sim card in it just doesn't' work? Is there a way to get AT&T to unlock it since it's a really old phone and I was not the original owner? The person selling it to me is not savvy on this either...
