Carolyn, exactly where are you looking for Audio Ducking?

Oh, OK. I'll change that then. I never listen to music, so all I need is
Voiceover and people on phone calls.

Now is says Selected Off, and I can't get it on.

Oh, now I see, there is no on. So When Speaking is selected, and I have it set
at 50%. Thanks.

If you have audio ducking on an set to 99% then it's no wonder you don't hear
anything else because at 99% other audio is almost completely suppressed. You
have to lower the amount other audio is ducked to maybe 75% or 80%.

It now is at 99% and on, of course. Somehow, it was off. I am not sure if that
is the problem.

Also, my daughter-in-law, for one, at least, sometimes calls me, and nothing
happens, goes to Voicemail. I can't figure out what all is going on, might have
to trade in my phone. There seem to be no problems with Voiceover off, but my
phone is no good to me without Voiceover. I turned it off and asked Siri to
call Time and Temperature - my experimental contact. I could hear just fine. Of
course, with Voiceover off, that moved Audio Ducking off the table. Now, I have
it on though, so, at least as of now, it is working.

What is your audio ducking amount set to?

I turned Voiceover off, got Siri to call Time and Temperature. I could hear.
Then, I turned Voiceover back on, called again. I could not hear. So, major
problem.

Did you check the settings under Sound and Haptics?

Make sure the Change with Buttons is off.
As you flick up to increase the volume, you should hear your ringtone.
If that isn't it, you may need to contact Apple.

I have turned off Bluetooth to my hearing aids, turned phone off then basck on,
turned Voiceover off and on, given hard boot - no change. I am not hearing
people on phone calls, incoming or outgoing. What could be the problem?
