You have to turn off audio ducking to see if that is the issue, or set ducking 
amount to 1%.
If your dauters calls are oing right to voice mail, you may have do not disturb 
turned on.
Tell Siri to turn off do not disturb and see what happens, but get rid of audio 
ducking for now.
