And I have been corresponding with the NLS folks and they are working on it.

This is the kind of bug that would be very hard to catch before release as many
people have headsets that work fine no matter the speed.

I hope this gets fixed soon. Now that they have it narrowed down to the speed
issue, let’s hope they can get a fix out soon.

Absolutely no need to buy a different headset, as you can still use the screen
to stop the book.

Personally I have a huge problem with this bug. I know that many users are not
as lucky as Josh and report that they can’t use their headsets. I don’t think
this app with the bug should have replaced the Bard mobil app until it was
fixed.

It has been found that it relates to the speed setting on the
app. Make the speed normal and many head sets work. But, many of us read
books at speeds far beyond the normal, setting.

This is a costly bug as I expect many folks are looking for
headsets to purchase that work, when we really don’t need another expensive
headset.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see a new update when ios 18 comes out. I
don’t have a big problem with this issue. Most of my headphones do when I hit a
button. Sometimes I can hit the button twice quickly and my book will stop.

Good thought, but no.

I’ve tried the slight pause between presses and nothing. It will start it
playing if it is stopped, but it won’t stop it if it is playing.

If I press twice too quickly, it jumps to the next chapter or part and three
quick presses goes backward the same chapter or part, depending on the setting.

We’ll see whenever they get around to releasing a new update.

Id have a nonApple pair of headphones that start and stop with only one press
of the button. They are my Perytong headphones that are sold on Amazon as a
sleep band, but that I wear as much or more when I am up and about, being that
I easily can hear outside noise and can talk to people while wearing them. None
of my other nonApple headphones work with just one press of the button,
including my Beats Flex headphones, which are sort of Apple. but in all cases,
two presses of the button will stop it. i press and release, wait a quarter to
half a second or so, then press and release again and it stops. Until they get
it straightened out, Iwonder if this method would work with your after shocks?

I’ve written NLS again about how some bluetooth headphones won’t pause
BARDMobile books, like my Shokz OpenRun and OpenComm headphones.

The Apple brand Bluetooth headphones do work, but they also think there are a
few non Apple brand Bluetooth headphones that work but they are not sure of the
brands.

Does anyone use a non Apple Bluetooth headphone that works for pausing a BARD
audio book? If so, which brand and model?
