I am not sure why this would work for you, if I forward a text message and type my email address as the recipient I see at the top "New MMS Message" and I have no subject field at all, it is sent as a text message and not as an email and I can't even use my main email address as it is registered for iMessages and if I use it the message is just forwarded to me as an iMessage. It would be different if there were a "Share" button which would allow you to select "Mail"" as the method to share a text message, but the Forward function as far as I can tell only works when sending it as a text message.
